Christmas Raffle Raises Over £800!
On the 28th December 2018 at just past 16:00 we held our Christmas Raffle draw at Southwater Sports Club.
There were many members of the club in attendance and this made it a celebratory event which was fun for all involved. Many prize winners were at the event and other prizes will be distributed to the winners as soon as possible.
Although events like this are fun and sociable for club members, the club also relies on such events heavily for help in funding the activities that our members, both children and adults enjoy so much. The committee are very pleased to announce that the ticket sales count is in and we managed to raise a staggering £848 from ticket sales, the tickets themselves cost £25 to purchase meaning that the raffle raised £823 for Southwater Royals F.C.
In a Royals Raffle first the entire draw was broadcast live to our Facebook page for the club members who could not attend to be able to join in the fun.
Once again the committee would like to thank all of the kind prize donas without whom the event would not be possible. We would also like to thank everyone who helped collecting prizes, selling tickets and, of course, those who purchased tickets. A special thanks go out to Ruth Tyerman who took ownership of contacting local businesses to source prizes and to Jodie Brown who sold lots of tickets Southwater Sports Club members on the day.
