This weekend our U10 and U12 Girls Teams joined others from across Sussex, Surrey and Essex at the brilliant Burgess Hill 5_A_Side Tournament, supported by the FA and Sussex County Women and Girls Football.
With 14 teams playing, it was guaranteed to be a great day of football, fun and making new friends.
The U12's played 6 group games against some very strong competition. The girls held their own with wins against Cranleigh, Hove Park, Burgess Hill and Lewes. With a draw against Worthing Utd and 1-0 lose to Greys Athletic, scoring 10 and conceding just 1 goal!!!
Somehow, they missed out on the semi final on goal difference by 1 goal
The U10's, having only started to play together half way through this season, played with confidence and an incredible attitude and team spirit for such a new team.
What a performance from the girls against teams from other counties so proud of them, they were superb and mixed it with the big teams!!! Love it and a big well done girls!!!
