Crawley Wasps U10 Girls - DRAW - Southwater Royals FC U10 Girls

The Royals U10 Girls played in an entertaining and spirited draw against a strong Crawley Wasps team last Sunday on an excellent playing surface at Ewhurst Playing Fields in Crawley. Both teams played really well and despite a slow start Royals grew into the game and staged an impressive fightback, coming back from behind to draw.
The game was played in perfect conditions with the team receiving great support from the parents, Royals U11 Girls Team Coach, Simon Hulcoop and the Royals Chairman, Andy New who said “ great experience for them all, great to see so many smiley faces. Well done everyone”.
It was fantastic to see the girls really enjoying the game with some good passing, tackling and the confidence to keep going and getting a deserved draw. Grace McCall rattled the opponents crossbar and scored two goals, with Eva O’Brien netting the other.
All-in-all a perfect friendly match to prepare for the season with Crawley Wasps Manager, Chris Randall, commenting “ I just wanted to say thank you again for coming down for a friendly with such short notice. The girls loved it, and I think it was really good giving them a difficult game which worked well with the scores being so close”.
