Welcome to Southwater Royals FC

Southwater Royals FC was originally founded as Royal United back in 1997, based in Southwater, Horsham, West Sussex. The club originally started with a handful of youth teams and now has over 230 children playing across 10 boys teams, 4 girls teams, our 1st Team and 1st Team Reserves.

We are very proud to still be a Southwater based club, however recently moved to play all our Under 7 – Under 11 age group games at Christ’s Hospital School, as well as other premier facilities across the Horsham District.

Southwater Royals FC is committed to promoting high standards of football coaching in a safe and rewarding environment for all our children.

In 2005 the club submitted its application and was successful in gaining The FA Charter Standard Award. Southwater Royals FC (Royal United) was one of the first clubs in the area to be given this award and reflects the very high standards our Club Officers, Team Managers and Coaching and support staff set.

Maintaining our FA Charter Standard certification since 2005, we proudly offer playing opportunities to children in our Boys U6’s Development Squad, U7’s Mini Soccer Pre-League Team and our U8’s up to U16’s Youth Teams, who participate in the Horsham & District Youth Football League and Cup competitions. Plus, we are delighted to confirm that our U14 Boys will be representing the club in the South Surrey Football League for the very first time in 2019/20 season!

Our Girls teams, following unprecedented interest, will grow from 2 to 4 teams for the 2019/20 season, with our U10’s, U11’s, U12’s and U13’s participating in the Sussex County Women and Girls Football League. We are always looking to the future and our coaches are already holding Open Sessions with a new team, Yrs 3 + 4 Girls Development Squad in friendly competitions.

Our highly successful 1st Team, recently crowned Division 3 League Champions, were promoted for a second season in a row, and will now play in the West Sussex Football League, Division 2 North. And we are once again delighted to confirm, that a new 1st Team Reserves will be joining them this season.
